Original Watercolour and Acrylic Paintings

Based in Mt Maunganui, New Zealand, my art is an expression of the love I have for the world around me and the fun (and hard times) that life can bring;  Loose, vibrant watercolours and textured acrylics are how I like to express myself. 
Largely self-taught, I have been influenced by NZ artists Randall Froude and Angus Watson and Jean Haines.  I have been painting on and off for over 20 years in between working full time and raising 2 children into amazing teenagers. It is now time to be more intentional about my work - taking it out from under the bed and putting it on display!
Sold from a small gallery in the South Island, my earlier paintings are now in various places in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

I have recently illustrated several children's books and commissions for more are underway, using mixed media.

I paint on high quality cold pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper and triple primed, stretched canvas, using professional quality paints (Atelier acrylics, Winsor & Newton and Rowney watercolours).
